Terms and Conditions
What is your Cancellation policy?
Please cancel as soon as possible if a foreseeable event is likely to prevent you from attending, for example, illness or adverse weather conditions.
We require a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel an appointment. Failure to attend an appointment with less than 24 hours notice of cancellation will incur a 50% charge for the appointment. This is because I may not be able to fill your appointment slot and still need to cover costs.
However, if you need to cancel your appointment at short notice because of Covid-19 related symptoms or a long-term medical condition which varies from day to day we can discuss the cost implications on a case-by-case basis.
In the event of ‘no show’ a note will be added to your account and payment of the aforementioned 50% will be requested at your next treatment.
Late Arrivals: I appreciate that sometimes, things happen, and you may arrive a little later or need to leave a bit earlier than planned but please try to attend at our agreed appointment time as I cannot make up the missed time by overrunning or adding time to subsequent appointments.
Patient confidentiality
I take patient confidentiality very seriously and understand my professional and legal duty to keep private any information obtained during your consultation and treatment. Information about you will never be disclosed without your prior consent. For more information, view the privacy policy and the SMA code of conduct.
Health and Safety
I am (Sarah Sewell, massage therapist Better U Therapies) qualified, hold a current First Aid certificate, and hold professional and public indemnity insurance, for the services that I provide.
Due to the nature of massage and the need for close contact, I maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and patients are asked to ensure that they also maintain a high standard of personal hygiene.
If I am unwell, suffering from a cold or virus, infection or general ill health, I will not work due to the risks of cross contamination. I will contact you to inform you of the issue at the earliest opportunity to make suitable alternative arrangements.
Patients are asked not to attend for a massage if they are unwell, suffering from a cold or virus, infection or general ill health. Please contact me via email at sarah@betterutherapies.com at the earliest opportunity to rearrange your appointment.
Sarah Sewell / Better U Therapies will not be held responsible for the loss or damage of personal items during your time at the Better U Therapies premises.
I maintain the right to refuse any treatment if a patient is physically or verbally abusive, or demonstrates inappropriate, aggressive or sexual behaviour.
COVID-19
There will be an additional Covid waiver form to complete prior to your appointment stating that:
You have not been in contact with anyone with Covid-19 in the last 14 days, to the best of your knowledge
You have not had any symptoms:
a recent onset of a new, continuous cough
a high temperature (typically over 37.8℃)
a loss of, or change in, normal sense of smell and / or taste
Should you have contracted the virus, or been contacted by the Track & Trace service and advised to self-isolate, you must inform Better U Therapies as soon as possible
Depending upon the timing, I may need to contact other patients possibly affected, and to self-isolate
